At OJC Judo you can learn to live life to your full potential and continue to improve both your mental and physical fitness.
AT OJC, we are not just about judo competitions and tournaments. Whilst this is an important part of Judo, we believe that we are so much more than this. Our club values encourage our members to build a healthier more disciplined lifestyle in mind, body and soul. We believe in ourselves and more importantly, we believe in the efforts we put into teaching our students and developing them to be the best versions of themselves inside and outside of the club.
Judo practitioners of all ages experience physical and mental benefits through anaerobic and aerobic components. In this grapping art, there are no kicks, punches or striking. At OJC we prioritise safety and the first thing you will learn is how to fall safely.
OJC accepts beginners of all ages and fitness levels to join, as well as players who are returning to the mat after an absence. We welcome those with little experience, and those with wisdom to share.
There are many benefits of martial arts for kids. Those most commonly noted are: improved motor coordination, increased self esteem, and respect for others.
Judo has many sides to the sport; self-defence, exercise and philosophy to name a few. By practicing judo, you can develop and grow as an individual. Your Judo instructor will pass on many values, morals and ethics which you will continue to use in every day life.
If you want your children to start learning confidence, and control of their bodies, and most importantly discipline, you will want them to learn judo.
Judo is very popular around the world. In France alone, there are more than 500,000 players. International Judo Federation (IJF) has now 199 member nations, and it is said that Judo has more than 50 million players around the world.
